REGISTER NOW

All players must register and pay Rugby Canada (RC)/British Columbia Rugby Union (BCRU) fees, which purchases mandatory insurance for a player before playing in any training session or game.  You must pay the RC/BCRU portion online with a credit card as the only option;   If you have an issue with the online registration process please contact the Westshore RFC Registrar

The club dues are funds paid directly to Westshore RFC for running programs, providing required equipment, infrastructure and operating costs.  This is separate from the funds for registration which includes insurance purchased in the players name by Rugby Canada/BC Rugby Union.

Adults, Junior and Youth club dues and registration costs are combined into one payment through Sportlomo for the ease of participants.

Any member currently representing a National Team (NSWT/NSMT; 7’s or 15’s) will be exempt from collection of club dues only.  Please contact club registrar before commencing registration.

Attestation & Individual Training Session Process for Players/Staff

Before any member may attend any training session they must follow the checklist below for each day of a session:

  1. Be already Registered in Sportlomo as a Player, Staff (Coach, Manager, etc)  before hand
  2. On the day of scheduled training session, Log in to your Sportlomo User account: https://sportsmanager.ie/sportlomo/users/login/home
    • Select “Schedule” box in bottom left corner.
    • Select the training session date you wish to attend.
    • Complete the attestation questionnaire, blue graph icon below.
    • then Select green check mark icon indicating you are attending. (Will not allow this step until attestation completed)
  3. Arrive at field and check in with On-Site Field Manager at the Entry Point Area on the field (Corner of Try Zone by Club house)

  • If steps 1 & 2 are not completed prior to arriving at the field, you will not be eligible to enter training session and will be turned away.
  • If you are registered and do not see training sessions date for your team, please see Team Manager.

Senior Players

Registration for Non-Contact Rugby for all Westshore RFC Adult players and staff must be completed online at link detailed above.  Birth year before 2002. 

HALF SEASON: 16 Sep – 9 Dec (12 Weeks)

Annual club dues is $100 for all senior players (19 and above) for the Fall non-contact portion of 2020-2021 season.  Registration cost and fees is $27.  TOTAL $133.13.

Club Kit included: Blue T-Shirt with Westshore RFC  logo, as supplies and sizes last.

As a paid member you have the right to vote on club issues at all meetings.

In Jan 2021 players will be required to “UPGRADE” to the Contact Rugby new price and policy.  This will deduct the cost for the non-contact portion from total cost.  Details to follow.

Note: For players conducting a transfer to BC from anywhere else in Canada, new registration must be purchased for the start of the new BC season from Sept onward.  Upon completion of BC season in April, same player returns to area anywhere else in Canada, the registration is recognized as already paid.

Social membership is payable online at link above for $100.  As a paid social member you have the right to vote on club issues at all meetings.

International Player Transfer

For those players traveling and playing rugby abroad in other countries outside of Canada, you will require a transfer form from BCRU and RC (New form Jul 2020) for your new club.  Download and fill out the 2 page document below, email to Westshore Club Registrar once complete for processing.

The Club’s policy for refund of dues is as follows:

1. If a player chooses to withdraw in the first 2-3 weeks after training sessions have started/or that they have attended:

  • If in the first 2 weeks: they may receive a full refund of club dues (Westshore RFC) and registration fees (RC/BCRU) through the Sportlomo program. Clock on this starts as soon as registration was completed.
  • If after this period: Any costs associated with National (RC), Provincial (BCRU) or Sub-Union (VIRU) dues or insurance are non-refundable, as they are through a third party (Sportlomo) purchasing insurance for that player.  Members may apply to these agencies and companies individually on their own.
  • A full refund of club dues up to 3 weeks may be granted if player did not receive any kit (shirts, gear…) from the Club.
  • After this 3 week period, Para 2 below becomes the policy.

2. The remainder of paid dues may be refunded to players who either suffer season ending injuries that are documented by the medical opinion of a physician licensed to practice medicine in the province of British Columbia.

  • Such refunds will normally be issued on a pro-rated basis for injuries occurrence according to the number of games/training sessions remaining in the season at the time the injury occurred as against the total number of games in the season.
  • Or a member who pays full season club dues in 1st half of season, but leaves completely for the entire 2nd half, (refund of max of $150), such as a member is moving out of the region due to employment issues beyond their control.
  • Application for a refund of dues on either ground must be made in writing and delivered to the Board of Directors of Westshore RFC through the Director of Membership/Registration.

3. No refunds will be issued for voluntary withdrawal after the player has participated in a game or past the 3 week starting point as described in Para 1.
4. No refunds will be issued for games missed due to non-season ending injuries.
5. No refunds will be issued for games not played due to cancellation.
