Velox RFC was established in 1968, playing its first season in the Vancouver Island Rugby Union (VIRU) in 1969. The club has gone through several variations over the years, with the merging of Velox RFC and the UVIC Valhallians in 1987, playing under the banner Velox Valhallians RFC, until our relocation to West Shore Parks & Recreation in 2015, rebranding as Westshore Rugby Football Club. These events are available to read below from first-hand accounts as they occurred from prominent leaders of the time. Westshore has continued to thrive and prosper due to the commitment of all its players, managers, directors, volunteers and fans/supporters for over 50+ years. This section is dedicated to capturing some of that history.
